About the Magnets

Types of Magnets

There are three different types of magnets used in Biomagnetism: neodymium, ferrite, and speaker magnets.

Personal Opinion

  • Neodymium magnets are circular and ferrite magnets are rectangular.

  • The red side indicates positive polarity while the black side indicates negative polarity.

"Personally I use all three kinds of magnets because I think they each have their advantages. However, the speaker magnets are generally the strongest. They are also convenient to use in biomagnetic pairs where magnets must be placed adjacent to one another. The speaker magnets specifically made for biomagnetic therapists are only available in Mexico. The red indicate the positive polarity and black to indicate the negative polarity."
